Wide houses, long runs
On a big lot the house is often wide, and the laundry room is not always on an outside wall. A vent that crosses a long stretch of attic or runs the length of the house gives lint more duct wall to cling to and more bends where it piles up. If a load needs two cycles to dry, or the laundry room turns hot and smells of warm lint, the run is the first place to look. Upstairs dryers and roof exits
In a two-story home the dryer is often upstairs, which puts the exit a long way from the ground. Second-story vents are priced per vent like any other. Roof exits are different, because we need to know the roof and the cap before we climb, so call us and we will quote those by phone.
What the visit looks like
Book online, pick a window, and we arrive inside it. You pay when the job is done, and before we leave we run your dryer to check the air moves freely out the cap. If something we cleaned is not clean, tell us. The work will be done.
Signs worth acting on
A vent that is filling up usually announces itself. Clothes come out damp after a full cycle, the top of the dryer feels hot, lint collects on the floor behind the machine, or the flap outside stays shut while the dryer runs. In a Jupiter house with a long run to the wall, these signs tend to show up sooner. Any one of them is reason enough to book a cleaning, and none of them needs a tool to spot.
